Sherab Tsedor
In this interview Sherab tells his story about what happened on November 4th 2011, the day that he tried to burn himself.  That morning, this young man woke up feeling that he had to do something about this situation, he couldn´t wait anymore for a solution, he had seen his people suffer over the years so when he knew about the other Tibetans that were burning themselves he was sure about what he needed to do.
After sending messages to his family and friends, he got all his things prepared, next he toke a bus to the China embassy in Delhi, then he try to light the thinner that he had spray on himself, but the police stop him, so the fire only went to his legs and trousers.
Sherab did this because he wanted to get attention all over the world about the humans rights violation, but he think that it was a failure because he is still alive.
He didn’t care about death or pain, as he was burning, he only could think about one phrase: “Freedom for Tibet.”

  1. Personally, although I don’t think that is the right way, I’m not sure it was a failure, now we know that in Tibet there is a man who loves his people that are willing to do anything for free home

  2. I´m not agree with his way of protesting but I think that he is a brave man and he only was fighting for a very important cause: to finish with the injustice committed every day in his country and to end with the human rights violations. At least he achieve one of his goals: to get the world attention.

  3. Interesting story, Belen.

There are many coherence problems, though. For example you use verbs in present tense when you are refering to a story in the past. You also invented other verbs.

Finally, the object of the verb has to be next to it, not at the end of the sentence:

"Many Tibetans are protesting TO RAISE WORLDWIDE AWARENESS OF THE VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN CHINA."

    This is your score:

    Task: 3
    Lexis 1
    Grammar 2

    6 POINTS: FINAL 4.7
